World Bank Grants Water Loan

News: The World Bank approved a loan of USD158.6mn to support Morocco's Rural Water Supply Project. The project involves Moroccan state utility Office National de l'Electricité et de l'Eau Potable providing about 420,000 people in underserved rural areas with access to safe and reliable drinking water. The utility aims to implement the project primarily by encouraging a shift from standpipes to house connections.
