WeWi Announces Launch Of Solar-Powered Laptops

News: Canadian firm WeWi Telecommunications has launched its solar-powered laptop in Nigeria to revolutionise Africa's technology sector, particularly computing. The firm's Sun Operated Laptop (SOL) runs entirely on solar energy. Plans are in progress to start product assembly in Nigeria and set up customer service centres across the nation, according to Chairman Saadina Dantata. The firm is also in talks with agencies such as the Independent National Electoral Commission to deploy the SOL for general election purposes, Dantata added. WeWi Telecommunications is selling its laptop for NGN100,000 (USD620) with a 12 month warranty.
