West African Resources Sets Production Target For 2015

News: Australia-based gold exploration company West African Resources has set its production target for 2015 at its Mankarga 5 project in Burkina Faso. The Australian firm had acquired Mankarga 5 through its acquisition of Channel Resources in January 2014. A recently acquired second-hand heap leach plant provides the potential to fast-track the Mankarga 5 deposit into production with an initial target of 1.6mn tonnes per year to produce at least 50,000 ounce per year initially, reports Mining Weekly, citing Managing Director Richard Hyde.
