Water Augmentation Project Behind Schedule

News: The first phase of the Mokolo and Crocodile Water Augmentation Project (MCWAP), which will help provide water from Mokolo dam to the Medupi power station in South Africa, is behind schedule, reports Engineering News. However, the delay will not cause a problem in meeting the water requirements of the power station, the first 800MW unit of which is expected to be commissioned in H214, according to state-owned power utility Eskom. The MCWAP Phase 1, which is currently under construction, includes a 43km pipeline, scheduled to be completed by June 9, and a pump station. The full water delivery date for MCWAP Phase 1 is scheduled for September 9, which has been further delayed and is expected to be rescheduled to December 9.
