Uruguay To Launch Wind Farm

News: Uruguay's state-owned utility Administración Nacional du Usinas Trasmisiones Eléctricas (UTE) plans to launch the Juan Pablo Terra wind farm in Artigas department in August, according to UTE President, Gonzalo Casaravilla (SeeNews Renewables). The 67.2MW plant will be equipped with 28 turbines from German wind turbine manufacturer Nordex. The plant will produce an output of 283GWh a year. Currently, UTE is installing the first turbine on the farm. The US$126mn project is wholly-owned by UTE.
