Unity Fields Pumping 30,000b/d

News: South Sudan has restarted oil production at a rate of 30,000 barrels per day (b/d) at the El Tor oilfield in the country's Unity state, reports Reuters, citing Stephen Dhieu Dau, South Sudan's oil minister. According to Dau, production resumed at the El Tor oilfield on September 12 at more than 5,000b/d. If oil production is resumed from Unity state's entire northern oilfield, the country will reach output of around 60,000b/d, which it was producing before the shutdown in January 2012, Dau added.
