Ukraine Increases Focus On Implementing EU Pharmaceutical Standards

News: Unification of Ukrainian regulations for medicines and medical devices with the EU guidelines remains an important of concern for the country's pharmaceutical sector, according to Oleksiy Solovyov, the chairman of the State Service of Ukraine on Drugs. Ukraine has progressed considerably in the last few years in implementing international pharmaceutical standards through the introduction of two important global pharmaceutical quality standards - the Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and the Good Pharmacy Practice (GPP), according to experts. The country's pharmaceutical industry needs an investment of up to US$1bn for adopting the international quality standards, experts added.
