Toyota And Honda Register Record Sales In 2013

News: Japanese automakers Toyota Motor and Honda Motor registered record sales in China in 2013. The development comes after both firms recovered from 2012, when a territorial conflict resulted in a backlash against Japanese brands in China, the world's biggest auto market. Toyota posted a 9.2% rise in sales in China, to 917,500 vehicles, in 2013. Honda's sales grew 26%, to 756,882 vehicles. Toyota may largely depend on growth in the Chinese market as Japan is set to raise sales taxes from April.
