Tokyo Port's Container Volume Up 0.3% In H113

News: The port of Tokyo posted a 0.3% year-on-year (y-o-y) increase in foreign trade container volume to 2.09mn twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs) in H113. However, the port registered a 0.7% y-o-y decline in container export to 951,000 TEUs in H113. Imports at the port climbed 1.2% y-o-y to 1.14mn TEUs in the reported period. The port's container cargo in foreign trade rose 1.3% y-o-y to 22.7mn tonnes in H113. Container cargo exports and container cargo imports at the port climbed 0.6% y-o-y and 1.5% y-o-y to 6.3mn tonnes and 16.4mn tonnes respectively. China was the port's largest trading partner, followed by the US.
