Telstra Demonstrates 450Mbps Speeds Using LTE

News: Australia-based telecoms operator Telstra, using LTE-A Carrier Aggregation technology, demonstrated live network speeds of 450Mbps. Telstra, in partnership with Ericsson, installed equipment for two 4G FDD channels of 20MHz bandwidth, each on the 2,600MHz spectrum band, along with Telstra's live 20MHz of 4G on the 1,800MHz band. The operator activated three simultaneous side-by-side paths for data to travel through to the operational core network. The Australian telecoms operator also used an advanced prototype Cat 9 engineering device to combine the three channels to achieve these speeds.
