News: Danish operator TDC registered a 0.5% y-o-y rise in revenue to DKK13.2bn (US$2.2bn) in H112. However, earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation fell by 0.7% y-o-y to DKK5.1bn (US$850mn) in the reported period. The results were driven by the highest intake in Q212 of broadband subscribers seen by the operator in four years. TDC has also gained 72,000 more TV customers since H111.
BMI View: In Denmark, the opertor aims to continue being a frontrunner in all the submarkets in which it operates. Outside Denmark, TDC aspires to be a frontrunner challenger in the business market. In addition to a massive investment in IT and networks, TDC plans to continue cutting costs in order to be more competitive. The company also aims to simplify processes in order to provide customers with better services.
