Tanger-Med Port Receives Mega-Ship

News: The Moroccan Port of Tanger-Med has welcomed the Maersk Mc-Kinney Moller mega-ship. Netherlands-based container terminal operator APM Terminal's unit APM Terminals Tangier handled the 18,000 twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs) ship, which is on its first service loop in the Asia-Europe service of Maersk Line. APM Terminals Tangier moved a record 7,804 TEUs during the port call and posted a productivity level of 29 moves per hour. The vessel will now call at the ports of Singapore and Hong Kong on its return through the Suez Canal to conclude its first rotation.
