Strauss Group's Net Income Up 39% In 2013

News: Israeli food company Strauss Group has posted a 39.1% year-on-year (y-o-y) increase in net income to NIS329mn (US$94.3mn) for 2013, with EBIT increasing 23% to ILS769mn (US$220.35mn). The company has mainly attributed its US dips venture with PepsiCo and Brazilian coffee unit Três Corações for the improved results. The company's international dips and spreads division's sales rose 14.9% y-o-y to ILS600mn (US$171.92mn), while the coffee unit generated just under half the group's ILS8.14bn (US$2.33bn) sales in 2013.
