Sri Lanka Telecom Profit Rises

News: Sri Lanka Telecom (SLT) registered a 24% y-o-y rise in net profit to LKR3.9bn (US$29.72mn) in January-September. In the reported period, SLT's fixed network operating division recorded a 4% y-o-y rise in revenues to LKR26.9bn (US$205mn), while fixed EBITDA decreased 10% y-o-y to LKR7.2bn (US$54.87mn). The operator's fixed telecoms division recorded a 28% y-o-y decrease in net profit to LKR2.2bn (US$16.77mn) in January-September. SLT's mobile network Mobitel recorded an 11% y-o-y rise in revenue in January-September and a 13% y-o-y increase in the overall mobile subscriber base.
