Slovakia Approves Refinancing Of R1 Expressway Project

News: The Slovakian government has approved the refinancing of the R1 Expressway project, reports Infra PPP. The project involved the construction of a 51km-long stretch of the expressway between Nitra and Banska Bystrica. It cost approximately EUR900mn (US$1.24bn) to develop, a sum raised by the acquisition of a bank loan. This will now be replaced by the issuing of a project bond scheduled to expire in 2039.
