SKT Rolls-Out LTE Base Stations In 2,100MHz Band

News: South Korea's SK Telecom (SKT) has reportedly begun deploying more base stations that will use its 10MHz in the 2,100MHz band for LTE in specific areas of Seoul, Gwangju and Busan. New cell sites have been established as a precursor to SKT's introduction of tri-band LTE-Advanced (LTE-A), following the trial of LTE over the 2,100MHz band in February. SKT has secured regulatory approval to use 10MHz in the 2,100MHz band for LTE-based services, which it acquired in an auction held in 2010.
