ShawCor Lands Moho Nord Pipeline Coating Deal

News: Socotherm, the Italian subsidiary of Canadian energy services company ShawCor, has secured a US$40mn pipeline coatings contract for the Moho Nord oil pipeline project offshore Congo-Brazzaville. Under the terms of the contract, Socotherm will put a three-layer polypropylene anti-corrosion coating over around 165km of six-16 inch pipe and 19km of 16 inch pipe. The contract also includes putting a five-layer syntactic polypropylene coating over 42km of 8-10 inch pipe. The Moho Nord oil pipeline project, which is a deep-sea drilling project, is likely to start in Q214.
