Scottish Water Seeks Infrastructure Programme Contractors

News: Water company Scottish Water is seeking up to eight main civil contractors to deliver its waste water infrastructure programme. The contractor will work for Scottish Water and its alliance partners Black & Veatch and Byzak over the regulatory period of 2015-2021. Estimated expenditure with the selected contractors will be about GBP25mn (US$41.54mn) a year in each of the three lots. Scottish water signed two alliance deals to cover its water infrastructure programme. It signed a deal with BBV Alliance-Black & Veatch and Byzak to invest GBP340mn (US$564.92mn) in the programme, while it signed another deal with Morrison Utility Services and AECOM to invest about GBP360mn (US$598.15mn) over a six-year period.
