SCH To Introduce ‘Bill Of Rights’ For Patients

News: Qatar's Supreme Council of Health (SCH) is set to launch a 'bill of rights' for patients. This will clearly outline the rights and responsibilities of patients seeking treatment at private and public healthcare institutions in Qatar, reports Zawya. The 'bill of rights' will also be used as a reference when investigating complaints associated with medical treatment and errors, according to SCH's Healthcare Quality and Patient Safety Department's Director Jamal Rashid Al Khanji. The legislation will cover issues such as how to lodge a complaint against a doctor or a healthcare facility, and the documents and files that can be accessed during investigations, Al Khanji added.
