Rickmers-Linie Transports Three LPG Storage Tanks

News: Germany-based Rickmers-Linie's 19,100-deadweight tonnage Baltic Winter transported three liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) storage tanks to Shuaiba in Kuwait from Kuantan, Malaysia. The 475-tonne LPG units were fabricated by KNM Process System and were destined for the new filling station of Kuwait Oil Tanker Company that will offer 15mn cylinders of gas annually. Rickmers-Linie was awarded the contract to transport the three units by SGV Logistik, which along with partner Aman Logistics is handling the complete project that involves six LPG units.

Rickmers-Linie, a German ship operator specialising in break-bulk and heavy lift cargoes has five vessels operating in the Indian Ocean that are capable of shipping individual items weighing as much as 800 tonnes, such as transformers, generators, turbines, cement plants and engines.
