Preferred Bidder Status Assigned To APM Terminals Consortium

News: A consortium of APM Terminals, Bolloré Africa Logistics and Bouygues has been assigned the status of the preferred bidder for handling a second container terminal at the Port of Abidjan in Côte d'Ivoire. An investment of XAF300bn (US$590mn) will be required for the new facility (TC2) over the 21-year concession term. With 16m of depth, the TC2 Public-Private Partnership will be capable of handling vessels with a capacity of up to 8,000 twenty-foot equivalent units. Construction work will include the building of a 35-hectare yard and a 1,100m quay, equipped with ship-to-shore gantry cranes and electric rubber-tire gantry cranes.
