National Strategic Plan To Improve Dental Health

News: Rwanda's five-year National Strategic Plan will scale up dental health standards, reports allAfrica, citing Alphonsine Mukandoli, the head of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Services at the University Teaching Hospital of Kigali (CHUK). The plan, which will be rolled out in 2015, will see that every health centre has a dental therapist, with a surgeon in the offing. Mukandoli made this announcement at the World Dental Health Care Day at Groupe Scholaire Nyamata Catholique in Bugesera District. Mukandoli added that although there has been no national survey on dental ailments, it is an area that requires attention.
