MTN Expects Cashflow To Increase

News: South Africa's mobile operator MTN Group is expecting its cashflow to rise by around US$450mn on the back of increased cooperation between the US and Iran, including the expected end to sanctions. MTN's existing funds in the country were blocked since the start of 2012 due to a diplomatic standoff between the two countries over Iran's nuclear programme. High-level discussions involving the US, Iran and other countries were carried out in Geneva in October resulting in a new accord, improved relations and the possibility of sanctions being lifted.
