MP Calls For Lower Visa Fees

News: Kenyan national and county governments should amend laws to lower visa fees for foreign tourists in the country in order to improve tourism, according to Malindi member of parliament (MP) Dan Kazungu. Kazungu added that the deteriorating tourism industry is compounding unemployment in the country. Mike Macharia, the CEO of the Kenya Association of Hotelkeepers and Caterers, added that in addition to a reduction in visa fees, the MPs should adjust value added tax, which has increased the cost of various products and services.
