Mexico Records 9% Decline In Rolled Steel Consumption

News: The Mexican steel industry has reported a 9% decrease in consumption of rolled steel in 2013, compared with output in 2012. According to Latin American Steel Association (Alacero), consumption of long products, flat steel, and seamless pipes totalled 18.6mn tons (mnt) in the reported period, reports Steel Orbis. In Latin America and the Caribbean, the consumption of rolled steel remained the same as in 2012, reaching 66.5mnt.
