Medical Professions Being Relocated To Brazil

News: Cuban medical personnel stationed at Venezuela are being withdrawn due to one of Cuba's current priorities: Brazil's Mas Medicos ('More Doctors') programme, which has already hired over 11,000 thousand physicians from Cuba. This came at the end of 2013, when hundreds of doctors were recalled by the Cuban Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP) and reassigned to remote settlements and rural areas in Brazil. An additional 4,000 Cuban medical doctors will travel to Brazil in the week ending March 22 to join the nearly 7,400 professionals already working in municipalities in the country's interior, indigenous settlements and the periphery of large cities.
