Locally Made Smartphones To Have National Apps

News: Brazilian Ministry of Communications, Ministério das Comunicações, issued a resolution stating that locally produced smartphones must include a package of at least five national applications to get tax exemption benefits, starting from October 10. The number of applications would be gradually increased to 50 from December 2014. The standard applications, to be issued in Portuguese, will include categories such as tourism, education, health, sports and games. The national applications would be offered as pre-installed apps or through a dedicated app that will have a list that can be upgraded via the internet.
