Lindt's Net Profit Up 14% In H112

News: Switzerland-based luxury confectionery firm Lindt & Sprüngli's net profit rose 14% year-on-year (y-o-y) to CHF36.6mn (US$37.61mn) in H112, compared with an earlier estimate of CHF38.5mn (US$39.6mn) in a Reuters poll. The firm's sales increased 5.3% y-o-y to CHF1.03bn (US$1.06bn) and its earnings before interest and tax increased 16% y-o-y to CHF48.7mn (US$50mn) in H112. The chocolatier expects full-year organic growth of 6%-8% in local currencies. However, the firm expects consumers to become more cautious as tough economic conditions are likely to persist in the eurozone.
