Largest FSRU To Arrive In Late 2016

News: France-based GDF Suez and its partner Marubeni have chartered a floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU), which is expected to arrive in Uruguay in late 2016. The unit will be used at the GNL del Plata liquefied natural gas (LNG) import terminal. GDF Suez will use its Neptune FSRU vessel from June 2015 until the new ship arrives. The vessel has a storage capacity of 263,000 cubic metres and will regasify up to 10mn cubic metres per day (Mcm/d) of natural gas, with a possible expansion to 15Mcm/d. The GNL del Plata terminal's FSRU will be able to receive LNG tankers of up to 218,000 cubic metres.
