Laithwaite's Wine Considers Expansion In Asian Markets

News: UK-based Laithwaite's Wine has launched a unit in Taiwan to expand its presence in the Asian market, including its existing Hong Kong business. Hong Kong-based entrepreneur Simon Hsu, who manages the company's business in Hong Kong, will also be responsible for developing the Taiwanese business.

BMI View: Wine consumption in Taiwan is expected to continue rising steadily to 2017, as exposure to the product improves in line with general regional growth. In volume terms, sales are expected to increase by a CAGR of 2.7% over the period between 2013 and 2017.
