Koks Group Acquires Exploration Licence For Uchastok Koksviy Glubokiy Mine

News: Russian pig iron and coking coal producer Koks Group has secured a licence to explore and develop the Uchastok Koksviy Glubokiy coal mine in the Kemerovo region in central Russia. The company acquired the licence for RUB88mn (US$2.44mn) during a public bid. Coal extraction at the mine, which is expected to hold around 27mn tonnes reserves, is likely to start in 2020. The mine primarily contains high quality coal grades and preliminary exploration works have identified 26 coal seams at the mine.
