K-Line Signs Two Long-Term Time Charter Contracts

News: Two long-term time charter contracts have been signed between Japanese shipping line Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha (K-Line), INPEX Corporation's subsidiary and a joint venture of INPEX and French oil major Total's subsidiaries. Meanwhile, shipbuilding contracts have also been executed between K-Line, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries and Kawasaki Heavy Industries. As part of the contracts, INPEX, Total and other companies are accountable for running the Ichthys LNG Project (Ichthys Project) in Western Australia, which is all set to manufacture its first gas by end-2016. Both vessels will be used to supply LNG to Japan and Taiwan from the Ichthys Project.
