Joint Procurement To Save HRK200mn

News: A joint procurement by central authorities under an agreement between 12 institutions has been started by the Ministry of Health. The institutes include the Croatian Institute for Health Insurance, Croatian National Institute of Public Health, five clinical centres, two university hospitals and three clinics. The unified procurement is aimed at saving HRK200mn (US$34.6mn). The ministry said that the saving would be invested for upgrading services and patient outcomes. The deal discourages multiple differences in the purchase price of each hospital. The ministry has invited recommendation from interested parties until October 9 2012.
