Iron And Steel Products Output Increases By 15.8%

News: Basic iron and steel products output in South Africa grew by 15.8% year-on-year (y-o-y) in March 2014, according to preliminary data by Statistics South Africa. South Africa's seasonally adjusted production index of basic iron and steel products fell by 3.9% month-on-month (m-o-m) in March 2014. The estimated seasonally adjusted sales of manufactured basic iron and steel products in the country rose by 1.7% m-o-m, amounting to ZAR9.17bn (USD885.8mn). Value of actual sales of basic iron and steel products also grew by 11.6% y-o-y.
