INCISA And Nippon Koei Conduct Water Studies

News: A group, comprising Nippon Koei Latin America-Caribbean and Ingeniería Civil Internacional (INCISA), secured a technical studies contract from Peruvian investment promotion agency ProInversión for the USD400mn potable water concession in Lima, Peru. Three major components of the project are a Huachipa potable water plant upgrade to produce 5m3/s, a 10km trans-Andean tunnel to supply water from the Pomacocha lagoon to the Blanco River, and building a 25.6km water uptake and distribution pipeline to supply water to southern Lima. The project also involves expansion of the Huallacocha Bajo and Pomacocha reservoirs. The studies will cover all four components and the group is expected to complete the studies in 140 days. The project's first draft will be ready in May 2014, with bidding expected in October 2014.
