Illva Saronno Invests In Walsh Whiskey Expansion

News: Italian wine and spirits firm Illva Saronno has entered into a 50:50 joint venture partnership with Ireland's Walsh Whiskey Distillery. The partnership will see Illva finance Walsh Whiskey's EUR25mn (US$34mn) expansion programme, which includes the construction of a new distillery, maturation warehouses and a visitor's centre on a farmland alongside River Barrow in Carlow, Ireland. The new whiskey distillery will have an annual production capacity of 400,000 cases and is expected to be completed by 2016.
