IHiS Enters Agreement With Citrix To Provide Desktop Virtualisation

News: Singapore Health Ministry's information technology arm Integrated Health Information Systems (IHiS) has entered an agreement with Citrix to make use of desktop virtualisation. With the new technology, the health ministry aims to improve the productivity and mobility of Singapore's public healthcare facilities. The agreement is believed to be the first in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN)'s public sector. Following the agreement, Citrix will provide virtual applications and desktops for five years to participating healthcare institutions. Staff and doctors will be able to access patient data and also will be able to use mobile devices with high security across institutions and locations.
