HKIA Posts 0.8% Fall In Cargo Volume

News: Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) posted a 0.8% year-on-year (y-o-y) decline in cargo handling to 344,000 tonnes in September. The decline came on the back of a 3% y-o-y fall in imports in September. Exports dropped slightly, while transshipments climbed 1% y-o-y in the reported month. HKIA registered a 1.7% y-o-y increase in cargo handling to 3mn tonnes in the first three quarters of 2013.
