GSK To Build INR8.64bn Manufacturing Plant

News: UK drugmaker GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) will build a INR8.64bn (US$137mn) manufacturing plant for medicines in India. The move is part of the company's commitment of ascertaining improved access to quality medicines for people in the country. The construction of the manufacturing plant is expected to generate around 250 jobs in the country. The new facility, which is scheduled to become operational by 2017, will consist of a warehouse, site infrastructure and utilities for supporting the production and packaging of medicines.
