Grindrod TCM Capacity Up 25%

News: Grindrod Terminal de Carvao da Matola (TCM)'s exports capacity has been boosted by 25% following the Phase 3.5 upgrades, said Grindrod ports and terminals CEO Dave Rennie. The terminal now has an annual capacity of 7.5mn tons per year, compared with an earlier capacity of 6.0mn tons. Grindrod intends to further increase exports from the TCM by 4.5mn tons per year to 12.0mn tons by 2016 under the TCM Phase 4A brownfield development plans.Yet another project at the port, Expansion Phase 4B, is at the advanced feasibility study stage. The project is aimed at increasing the terminal capacity to over 20.0mn tons.
