News: A consortium of grain handlers intends to construct a new port terminal at the Australian port of Kembla. The proposed move will bring competition between grain handlers across the country's east coast. The multi-user handling terminal with a 1.3mn export capacity is expected to be ready and to commence operations in 2015. The facility will be open to all grain marketers needing export facilities. The joint venture, Quattro Grain, has been established between logistics business Qube Holdings and a unit of Singapore's Noble Group. In addition, Cargill Group and Emerald Grain have secured the option to gain up to a 20% stake each in Quattro Grain.
