Government To Upgrade Manitoba Water Facilities

News: Canada's Manitoba government will invest USD84mn during the next five years to modernise and expand water and wastewater facilities to assist municipalities to keep pace with growth in the province. Other projects include a USD1.5mn water supply upgrade project in MacDonald municipality, involving expansion of the pipeline between Oak Bluff and the Sanford water plant, and a reservoir expansion project in Oak Bluff to meet rising water demand. The government will also invest USD2.3mn in a wastewater lagoon and infrastructure for the rural municipality of Sifton and the town of Oak Lake.
