Government To Set Up New Nuclear Power Plant

News: The Iranian government is planning to set up a new nuclear power plant, which would be capable of producing 360MW of electricity per hour, reports Mehr News Agency, citing Energy Minister Hamid Chitchian. The country, which was the first in the Middle East to build a nuclear power plant, currently holds an electricity production capacity of more than 70,000MW per hour, Chitchian added. Iran's power generation capacity has grown by 7% annually over the past 10 years, compared with the world average of 3.5%.
