Government Secures Loan For Water Project

News: The Nigerian government secured a US$205mn loan from the African Development Bank (AfDB) for the Urban Water Sector Reform and Port-Harcourt Water Supply and Sanitation Project. The US$346mn project will offer sustainable access to safe drinking water and sanitation to people in Port-Harcourt city, Rivers State. The project also aims to rehabilitate and extend the run-down water supply system, as well as offer public sanitation and a pilot sewerage scheme. The project will ensure increased water quantity, quality and service hours to the residents of Port-Harcourt.
