Government Reveals MXN8trn Infrastructure Plan

News: The government of Mexico revealed a MXN7.7trn (USD587bn) national infrastructure plan, including 743 programmes, for the 2014-2018 period. The Secretariat of Communications and Transportation has been assigned projects worth MXN1.32trn (USD100.63bn), while the Secretariat of Environment and Natural Resources has been allocated MXN417bn (USD31.79bn), which is to be invested in water infrastructure. The remaining funds are to be invested in health, housing, energy and tourism infrastructure projects.
