Government Grants Approval To Construct Copper Mine

News: Zambia's Environmental Management Agency has granted approval to NFC Africa Mining , a subsidiary of China Nonferrous Mining , to construct a copper mine in the country, according to company spokesperson Nelson Jilowa. The copper mine is expected to include an investment of US$832mn and will add 60,000 tonnes to the country's annual copper output. The mine will be located nearly 400km northwest of Lusaka and construction work is scheduled to begin this year.
