GlaxoSmithKline To Make Vaccines In Turkey

News: UK drugmaker GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) will invest in Turkey in order to manufacture vaccines in the country. The company plans to employ 80 scientists and medical experts in the field to start manufacturing five kinds of vaccines - pneumococcal vaccine, hepatitis A vaccine, seasonal influenza vaccine, human papilloma virus vaccine and rotavirus vaccine. The company plans to manufacture around 17mn doses of vaccines in the initial stage, after which the company plans to increase this to 30mn doses in 2014.
