General Electric Starts Building Oil And Gas Facility

News: US-based conglomerate General Electric (GE) broke ground on the GE Oil & Gas Manufacturing Facility, in Second Industrial City in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. The facility is being built as part of the expansion of the manufacturing capability and operations of the nearby existing Pressure Control facility, under GE's USD1bn investment plan. The first phase of the new facility involves the construction of a 9,500m 2 building, which is expected to be completed by December 2014. The expansion project will enhance the in-house repair facilities and add more capacity to the manufacturing unit.
