Gas Talks Underway As Pipeline Advances

News: UK-listed oil and gas company Aminex and domestic partner Solo Oil are negotiating with the Tanzanian government over the start of gas sales from the Ruvuma Basin project onshore Tanzania, reports Interactive Investor. The companies plan to sell gas through a new 36-inch pipeline that is being built between Tanzanian cities Mtwara and Dar es Salaam to lessen the burden on the existing pipeline system in the country. The new 36-inch pipeline, which will pass within 12km of the Ntorya-1 well situated in the Ruvuma Basin, is estimated to have at least 5.04bn cubic metres of gas reserves.
