Freightliner Hits Container Handling Record

News: UK rail freight operator Freightliner handled 481 containers in Tilbury on September 26, thereby setting a new container handling record at the Port of Tilbury. The record has been achieved with the help of improvised operations, the support of container transfer from UK port operator Forth Ports and the roll-out of new container handling IT system in 2011, according to the company's managing director, Adam Cunliffe. The company has been witnessing an increase in volumes at Tilbury since 2009, Cunliffe added.
